PADI CERTIFICATION COURSE


The following courses are available and may be taken in the resort, conducted by our in-house Dive Instructors.

 

The “Open Water Diver” certification course consists of a three day program that includes classroom session, confined water (swimming pool) session and a total of 4 open water dives.  The whole course is designed to ensure that the student learns the basic knowledge and skills in SCUBA diving including a written exam and proficiency course of fundamental skills.  Upon passing the written and fundamental skills examinations, the student shall receive a PADI Open Water license issued by PADI Australia.

 

The “Advanced Open Water” certification course requires a student to be a licensed Open Water Diver.  Thistwo day course aims to enhance and widen dive skills including underwater navigation and a deep dive past20 meters.The course will also give the student the chance to explore some adventure dives that PADI has to offer. Upon passing, the student shall receive a PADI Advanced Open Water license issued by PADI Australia.

 

The “Rescue Diver” course is the third level in PADI certification.  The three day course involves confined and open water dives that will focus on skills for rescuing divers in distress, emergency situation management and treating and handling divers who need assistance. The course can also include an Emergency First Responder course that teaches primary and secondary first aid and CPR. This is a requirement of the course and can take one or two days to complete. This is waived if there is proof of taking a first aid and CPR course equivalent within one year.
